The newest space in our lab, the Python Lab, has opened with its first beginner session. Participants who had never written code before wrote their first lines of Python with our workshop advisors by their side.

What did the first session cover?

  • Installing Python and setting up the work environment
  • First small programs with variables, loops and conditions
  • Reading data from a sensor on a Raspberry Pi and printing it to the screen

The Python Lab is not about sitting through lectures; it is about trying things. Everyone works on their own computer, an advisor is there when they get stuck, and the code they write gives an instant result on real hardware.

What comes next?

The next sessions focus on data processing, simple automations and robot control. Once the Python basics are in place, participants can move on to computer vision and AI projects in the AI Lab.
